Introduction
Tutoring can be deeply rewarding, but it also comes with unique stressors. K–12 tutors in learning center environments often juggle back-to-back 60-minute sessions, adapt to various student needs, and maintain a friendly, patient demeanor throughout. Over time, these demands can take a toll on a tutor’s well-being. Stress Management & Self-Care highlights how K–12 tutoring professionals must safeguard their own mental and physical health to sustainably support and mentor students. This self-paced module provides practical tools for recognizing burnout, managing stress proactively, and maintaining healthy boundaries in a tutoring center context. By prioritizing your well-being, you not only improve your personal health but also enhance your effectiveness as a tutor – well-supported tutors are more patient, empathetic, and resilient in the face of daily challenges (news.gallup.com).
